Case study

Recognising the high demand for student accommodation in Portsmouth, Bryburn identified a tired and run-down former guesthouse as an ideal opportunity for change of use and development.

The property was purchased in 2015, planning approval obtained, and after an extensive refurbishment of the property carried out by Bryburn operatives, the property was converted into 9 en-suite student bedrooms. Demand for the rooms was oversubscribed and above market rents were achieved resulting in a net return in excess of 7%.
